Here’s a great write up/interview of author Danielle Steel at Glamour mag. How has Steel written 179 books? She writes/works twenty to twenty-two hours a day. If that sounds like b.s. to you, you might not be a writer, or at least not one who knows what it’s like to lose yourself in the story, the process. These days, I can’t sit for that long at one stretch, and the rest of my life would fall apart, all the plants would die and no laundry would get done ever, otherwise, yes, I know exactly what that is like. It is how I used to write and how I prefer to when I can, to write, to just go, and go, for as long as I can, let the day turn into night and the night give way to the morning.
